Sugar and Ice Co.

Located on North Avenue, Sugar and Ice serves coffee, baked treats, frozen yogurt and more. They have one of the best selections of boba, with a whole dedicated boba menu. Their Chai Tea Boba was sweet and simple and good, with the regular tapioca boba pearls.
Sugar and Ice started serving boba in 2019, and they stock the regular tapioca boba pearls, and the popping pearls, when they can get them.

“We started serving it in 2019 when we rebranded,” Sugar and Ice manager Megan said, “It has been our most popular item.”
Sugar and Ice makes their boba every morning in-house, which takes nearly four hours. They say they are always out of boba by close.
Four Winds Coffee and Tea

Four Winds is located on Bookcliff, a cozy little coffee shop that almost feels like you wandered into someone’s living room that happens to serve coffee. It has comfortable couches and a variety of drinks and treats. Four Winds’s boba is an add on, which means you can have it added to any of the drinks on their menu. Their Chai Tea with boba was delicious and spicy, and tasted almost like a chai cookie.

Four Winds also started selling boba in 2019, though they never served the popping boba.
“For the most part, I think college students are our biggest customers,” said Four Winds manager Will Kuhlman, “Every once in a while you get these very interested older people that are like ‘what is that?’ and you get to explain it to them. Sometimes they’ll try it and it’ll blow their minds or creep them out.”
Pho 88
If you’re looking for a meal with your boba, Pho 88 is the place to go. They do have the smallest selection of boba, but they’ve been serving it the longest. They didn’t have a chai flavor, but their Milk Tea boba was smooth and sweet. The flavor of the tea went well with their beef pho.
Other Boba Places
There’s also a food truck called Pearl’s Boba Tea and Wave Drinks and Sweets on North 12th Street. If you’re looking for boba in Grand Junction, you don’t have to look far.
