Old Chicago was founded in Boulder, Colorado in 1976. The company’s mission is to provide a place for the neighborhood to come and feel at ease while enjoying their cuisine and drinks.
Old Chicago has over 110 different types of beers. Most of their beer is from local breweries. Many specialty beers and wines come from the wineries and breweries in the neighboring town of Palisade.
Due to Grand Junction being home of Colorado Mesa University (CMU), many staff members see college students visit every weekend. Old Chicago is also known as Old C’s to the college community.
“Yeah, Old C’s is the hangout spot. Their drinks are great and it is a fun environment after a long week of school.” Connor Holien a CMU student said.

According to Grand Junction’s Old Chicago General Manager Tyler London, about 25 percent of their customers are college aged. London discussed how it depends on the time of year, during summer months they see a decline in the attendance of college students. But, once the school year is up and going, the college students help increase sales at Old Chicago.
“There is something for everyone here, we serve many different demographics. We have different price points, we stay open late, and we serve food and drinks,” London said.
Old Chicago is known for their pizzas. However, the one located in Grand Junction finds that their most popular sold item is their Cheddar Cheese Burger. Overall, they sell more pizzas than burgers but there is something special about their Cheddar Cheese Burger. Next time you are on the hunt to find something to eat, consider going to Old C’s where they have something for everyone.
