Posh Salon is a salon and boutique in the heart of downtown Grand Junction. When you arrive at the salon you are greeted by the front desk assistant who will assist you with open arms. A Posh team member will first give a quick consultation to help ensure all your questions and expectations are met and then go on to talk about the cost before they start with the service. At Posh Salon, for people who come in and want they’re color; they make sure to keep the formula in their database for each visit. They also value their customers and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their time at the salon. The stylists at will create and personalize their customers’ needs, lifestyle and appearance.
Posh Salon has won Best Salon in 2019, and Best Nail Salon and Best Salon in 2020 by “Best of the West”. The awards are given every year and are voted by the Grand Junction community.

When asked about the awards, Kayla Rigdon, who specializes in color at Posh Salon took a moment to think what the awards means to Posh Salon.
“With those awards comes perks, which includes having free advertisements from the local news and the Daily Sentinel,” Rigdon said.
The owner of Posh Salon, Erika Brown, first opened the salon by the Old Chicago on North Ave. But after a few years she bought two separate units one for the salon and one for the clothing boutique. It’s been seven years since opening the Main Street Location. They specialize in eyelashes, spray tans, nails, hair, and even have a fully functioning coffee bar in the back.
The pricing on hair services can vary depending what service you receive. Haircuts and blowouts, which includes a neck message, shampooing of hair and a scalp massage and to finish it off with a blow dry can cost anything from $24 to $39. Compared to color and highlight services, which have prices closer to $65 and even in the hundreds for the balayage/ombre. But their prices could change based on a few factors, what type of hair, the amount of type it takes to complete your service and the amount of product used.
They also offer nail service anything from gel extensions which includes full sets of acrylic or gel, to rebase to removal. Those services can cost anything from $15 to $56 depending on what type of nails service you want. They also provide different pedicure and manicure services. For 30 minutes a manicure would cost $22, and a pedicure would cost around $31. For the hour session, the pricing would increase to $46 for the pedicure and $28 dollars for the manicure.
Her sister, Corey Jahnke who is the front desk and customer support specialist said that her sister has always had a passion for hair.
“She started her passion at The Salon Professional Academy and from that point she knew she wanted to open her own salon business”, Jahnke said.

Not only are they a salon they are also a boutique as well. They sell dresses, tops, bottoms and accessories. They have all different types of styles and colors and lengths of dresses to choose from. The dress ranges from $28 to $56. The boutique also sells jewelry, purses and fake lashes. Their earrings range from $9 to $16.
At Posh Salon, they have built a strong salon culture and believe strongly in core values of respect and integrity. Posh Salon and Boutique is by appointment only. They are hours of operations are Monday through Saturday. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays they open at 9 am and close at 7pm. Thursdays and Fridays, they open at 9am and close at 9pm. And on Saturday they open at 9am and close at 5pm. They have Sundays off and are closed that day.
