In recent weeks, Grand Mesa Middle School experienced two incidents where students were believed to have taken LSD at the school.
According to an email sent out on April 16th by the Superintendent of D51 schools, Diana Sirko, both of the incidents were taken care of promptly and law enforcement has been involved in the case.
“These incidents appear to be unrelated, according to law enforcement, so this does not necessarily indicate a growing trend by any means. However, it is something to be aware of, as LSD is a serious and dangerous substance,” Sirko wrote in the email.
