We hear “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” and that is something I stand by. It’s just something about eating breakfast that hits differently than lunch or dinner. Breakfast can be a mix of everything from sweet to salty. If you don’t think the sweetness of maple syrup and pancakes will satisfy you, you can make a sausage, cheesy, jalapeño burrito instead. This right here is one reason why I love breakfast meals.
Ever stuck on where to go for your first meal of the day? Here’s a list below of my favorite places to go in Grand Junction!
Dream Cafe:
Dream Cafe will always be on the top of my list for best breakfast places. I’ve been living in Grand Junction for almost five years and this place never ceases to disappoint. Now let’s get to what is actually important; the food. My favorite dish to get at Dream would have to be the California Bennie. Firstly, Dream was the restaurant that got me into egg benedicts and I thank them everyday for it. The California Bennie comes with roasted red peppers, avocado, asparagus, poached eggs and the best Dreamy Hollandaise sauce you’ll probably ever have. The next thing I love to get is the Biscuits & Gravy. Their Biscuits & Gravy comes with fresh biscuits, eggs, cheddar cheese, Dream Potatoes and pork sausage with sausage gravy you’d want to drink in a cup, it’s that good.
My Favorite Muffin:
My Favorite Muffin has recently became one of my favorite places to go for breakfast but that’s only because I just recently found out about it! My friends took me here for the first time in the beginning of the year and I instantly fell in love. I know it’s called My Favorite Muffin but if you are a bagel lover, you need to come here. The list of bagel sandwiches can go on forever and if you want to make it your own you can do that too. My favorite bagel sandwich would have to be the Northern Omelet! The Northern Omelet comes with freshly scrambled eggs, sausage, American cheese, tomato, green pepper and the bagel of your choice.
Main Street Cafe:
If you have trouble figuring out the directions just read the name one more time and if you’re still having trouble, well then you’re out of luck. Walking into Main Street Cafe you feel like you went back in time to what I would say the 80’s with the retro vibe it gives off. According to the cafe, the menu is full of “EGGstrodinary” specials that will keep people coming for more. I am and always will be a skillet person and when I need one in my life, I go to Main Street Cafe. My favorite thing off the menu is the Country Skillet. The skillet is filled with cafe potatoes, eggs of any kind, cheddar cheese and topped off with their country gravy.
