In a small community, people need a place to take friends and family to enjoy a day of fun and Bananas Fun Park has that covered. Bananas Fun Park first opened in May of 2004 and has been one of the most popular entertainment centers in the western slope since. As the manager at Bananas, Mike Ritter said, “Bananas pride itself on maintaining a safe, fun, and inviting atmosphere for families of all shapes and sizes.”

Bananas Fun park is a great place to spend the day with your family and friends. The park has go-karts, mini golf, an inflatable playland for the kids, laser tag, bumper boats and arcade games that suit all ages. Can’t forget about the water park — Coconut Cove opens up every summer. Banana’s even offers a season pass for those trying to beat the heat!. And whenever you’re hungry, the park has Congo Cafe where you can get pizza, cotton candy, calzones and plenty of other tasty foods that will fulfill your experience at Bananas

The park has always made sure they contribute to the community by involving themselves by supporting local schools through donations and sponsorships. They also provide employment opportunities to many of the young men and women in the Grand Valley. It is the perfect place for fun that also enjoys giving back to their community.

With everything going on due to COVID-19, Bananas Fun Park has been temporarily closed down but will be making their grand re-opening in days to come. “Like most businesses, we have closed our doors to do our part in keeping our community safe. At Bananas we try to find the silver lining in every hardship so we have utilized this time by renovating our Mini-Golf course and sprucing up everything in the park. The park has never looked better!,” Ritter said.

Like most businesses, Bananas will follow the safety regulations once the park is open. Bananas wants the customers to feel safe when the park is open to the public. As for the employees safety, once they reopen, Bananas priority is to also make sure their employees are safe as well while working under these circumstances.

“We will practice social distancing by taping lines 6 feet apart throughout the park,” Ritter said. “We will have hand sanitizer stations in 10 locations around the park. Employees will be wearing masks and gloves during all interactions with customers. We encourage customers to wear masks as they have fun and we will also be making gloves available to our customers. After every go-kart race, bumper boat ride, laser-tag match, and mini-golf game; handles, steering wheels, vests, seats, and other equipment customers encounter will be wiped down and sanitized. We will have an employee continuously wiping down and sanitizing games in the arcade. In our Congo café our tables will be separated and tables with more than four people will be asked to separate”.

As for many other businesses, Bananas Fun Park will come back better than ever. Bananas is known to be one of the best in the Western Slope for a reason. They want everyone to experience the fun in Bananas Fun Park.
